Unter Null back in the studio recording new material

Unter Null, the solo project of Erica Dunham, is back, or at least back in the studio to record new material for an album to be released later this year via the Belgian electro label Alfa Matrix. She announced her return to the industrial scene with a Facebook post which you can see below.

Unter Null emerged in 1998, blending industrial, classical, black metal, and IDM influences. The project’s debut, a self-titled album, was released in 2001, followed by “Neocide” in 2002. In 2005 Unter Null signed with Alfa Matrix and released “The Failure Epiphany”, which became a monster hit.

In 2008, Dunham introduced a side project, Stray, exploring a different musical direction. Despite a studio fire in 2008 that destroyed much of her equipment, she recovered and released the Under Null album “Moving On” in 2010. Since then she focused her attention on her daytime job, but anno 2025 she is pushing the studio buttons again.
