The Legendary Pink Dots offer all new album in 2025, ‘So Lonely In Heaven’
The Anglo-Dutch experimental act The Legendary Pink Dots have announced an all new album, “So Lonely In Heaven”, to be released on CD, as a double vinyl and of course as download via Metropolis Records on 17th January 2025. You can pre-order the album now on Bandcamp.
Edward Ka-Spel explains: “Way way back in the early days I used to say a lot about ‘The Terminal Kaleidoscope’, a concept comparing the fragile planet we live on to a drowning human being with life flashing before his or her eyes, the images constantly accelerating. It’s 2024, a little over two decades since the turn of this unbearably turbulent century and the concept appears to have become an unlikely soap opera where we are the cast. Let’s hang in there….”
The Legendary Pink Dots, formed in London in 1980, continue to be led by co-founder and frontman Edward Ka-Spel. Their upcoming release marks the band’s second full-length album crafted during the Covid pandemic, a period when its members remained dispersed across three countries and two continents.
The Legendary Pink Dots will be promoting “So Lonely In Heaven” with a European tour commencing on 30th January 2025.
Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
