When you are a keen music lover and you also love to travel, you are obviously going to be keen to combine the two as best as you can. The truth is that there are plenty of ways you can do this, and it’s always going to be the kind of thing that you can make the most of. Part of this is knowing where to go, however, but you are not short for places in Europe when it comes to that. Here are some of the very best European cities that you might want to check out if you really love your music.

Munich

This German city is known for having some great night life, and part of that is the music that you can find on every corner. Whether you are going out to clubs where you can hear some heavy metal music, or you are going to parks for some of the many festivals that the city has each summer, you’ll have a lot of options when it comes to pretty much any kind of music you might want to listen to. So a visit to Munich this year could well be on the cards for music lovers everywhere.

Edinburgh

Despite also having its historical past and so on, there is a really modern side to Edinburgh that you might not expect too. And a big part of that is the music that you can find on offer. Again, if you want to go clubbing you’ll find lots of options, so you can simply find a luggage storage Edinburgh place, leave your bags and dance the night away. Or you can go to a smaller bar where you will very often find some live music instead. Either way, you’re bound to have a great time.

Paris

If you want to have a raucous time and listen to some varied music, you’ll find that Paris is another great place to check out. This city is one of the most vibrant and diverse out there, with so much to see and, most importantly, hear. Whether you want more traditional French music or something else altogether, you are probably going to find it easily enough and it’s somewhere that you should definitely try and visit as soon as possible – especially if you have never been to Paris before.

Helsinki

Finland is starting to get a reputation for some really funky music – including quite a strong jazz and blues showing these days. So if you want to go and hear some music in quite a different culture, and somewhere where you can see snow throughout the year, then Helsinki is a great option to consider. It’s truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world as well, so you are not going to be disappointed if you do decide to go in any case.

Since you’re here

we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
