State of Being have just released a new single, “The Longest Night“, and also announce that they’re gearing up for live shows with their new lineup.

Christopher Foldi from State of Being adds that “‘The Longest Night’ is inspired by the winter solstice and explores the ancient fears and uncertainties that previous generations might have felt during the prolonged darkness and harsh cold of the longest nights.”

The release is complemented by a second track, a special remix of “Levity”, titled the “Winter Mix”, offering a new and atmospheric take on the original.

In addition to the single, the band is gearing up for a return to the stage in 2025 with an all-new live lineup. Founding member Christopher Foldi is joined by a veteran group of musicians, including Chris Becka on lead guitar, Greg Boehnlein (The Chromes) on bass guitar, Sean Furlong (Prick) on drums, and long-time member Scott Foldi on keyboards. The band made a return this past Summer with a short set at The Beachland Ballroom, where they showcased a reimagined take on some of their early material.

These upcoming performances will mark the band’s first full-length shows in decades, “offering fans a chance to experience their music in a way they never have before” says Foldi.

“The Longest Night” is now available for streaming and purchase across all major digital platforms.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
