Any modern brand that wants to be competitive needs a strong social media presence. There is just no other way to succeed in the Internet age that we live in today.

Almost all the major brands have their own social media presence and it is a major factor in their success. Whether it is Facebook or Instagram, you are bound to find them there.

A quick look at the numbers will show that businesses know what they are doing. As of 2019, there are more than 5 billion Internet users and more than 3 billion are active on social media.

To be able to tap into even just a fraction of that number would be huge for any brand. But the competition to get a share of the pie is also quite fierce.

So what can a fledgling business do to get ahead or at least compete? Using promo models is one answer.

What are Promo Models and Why You Need Them

Are promo models really the answer to your woes as a new business that wants to go ahead?

Your idea of promo models might not immediately fill that description. They are usually thought of as hosting events or waving to the crowds. That is correct but they can also fit as brand ambassadors on social media.

In fact, a promotion model is made for social media. Given how social media is all about people and connection, it makes a lot of sense.

Social media is a visual medium more than anything. Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest are the best examples and where promo models can thrive.

People would want to see how your promo model looks or even what they are wearing. And if the models are actual people that the public looks up to, expect engagements to reach sky-high.

So how can promotional models help optimize your social media marketing strategy?

Influencers

Most people are already aware of influencers. We can say that they are a class of promo models that already have their own significant following on social media.

To say that they are already established is an accurate description. And because of that, they are going to cost more than an ordinary promotional model would.

But they are going to be worth it, of course. Being popular already means that they will help your brand get seen and noticed by more people. The returns are immediate and significant.

The public tends to trust a brand that has been endorsed by a well-known personality or influencer. Since they trust it, they are going to buy and use it more often.

Influencers also have a more intimate relationship with their fans and supporters. This is a quality that sets them apart from the global superstars who are more detached from their followers.

The influencers and their fans have what is usually referred to as a “community” which makes them seem more connected.

Ad Campaigns and Posts

The most common way for promo models to help a brand on social media is through ad campaigns and single posts.

This can be done through photo and video shoots that will be used for posts on your website as well as advertising campaigns.

One thing that can be said about this option is that it is more cost-effective than hiring influencers.

You can hire your promo model for a limited time for a photo or video shoots or even both. It might one day or a couple of days but it is important that you get everything that you need during that time.

When you have all the photos and videos that you need, you can spread out its use over an extended ad campaign. Use it for regular posts that come out every week or every month, depending on what you want.

If you can be consistent with your posts then your followers will know when they can expect the next one. It creates a certain level of loyalty and following.

Brand Ambassadors

Brand ambassadors are an even less costly option than influencers. The relationship between a brand and a brand ambassador is also different.

In this set-up, both parties are going to benefit from being associated with each other.  You are going to supply your brand ambassador with your product or service in exchange for posting about it on social media.

A brand ambassador could also just talk about the brand to friends and colleagues. This will give your brand a chance to penetrate groups that do not have a social media presence.

These are certainly some of the best ways to use promo models such as trade show models to optimize your social media marketing strategy. Companies need to take this very seriously since social media is the one platform that could let them reach the most number of potential customers. It means more than just survival but a chance to get real success.
