Kunt – Unleashed (EP – Kunt)
Genre/Influences: Minimal-Electro, Electro-Pop, EBM.
Format: Digital, CD.
Background/Info: Swedish duoRickard Rosendahl – Paula Lé Boss have already self-released a few singles. “Unleashed” is an EP featuring three songs plus three remixes.
Content: The sound universe of Kunt is mixing different, related, electronic genres. There’s a strong Electro-Pop basis which has been empowered by EBM elements but still a minimal touch. The space-like, female, vocals inject an extra dimension to the songs while you’ll also notice male vocals. Remixes from previous singles have been accomplished by My Love Kills, Tukt and Cryo.
+ + + : The female vocals stand for rage and passion creating a cool addition to the open-minded electronic composition. Minimalism, Experimental, EBM and Electro-Pop have been mixed together. The band this way created an interesting work featuring late 90s sound treatments. “This Blood” is a really great song but I also have to mention a powerful and more EBM-driven remix of “Fcks Given” by My Love Kills and another Indie-Pop driven remix of “Sneaky Sins” by Tukt. The Tukt remix might appeal to fans of IAMX.
– – – : I don’t have real minus points to mention but I’m sure this band is even able to do better.
Conclusion: Kunt sounds as a refreshing and powerful Electronic formation we better can keep an eye on.
Best songs: “This Blood”, “With Craft”, “Fcks Given – Hypnotic Remix by My Love Kills”.

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
