The industrial act Killer Couture have released a brand new album, “Everything Is Normal”. The material for this new album was written throughout the pandemic by the duo of Set Draven and Elliott Petrella.

Thematically “Everything Is Normal” handles the frustrations of the political upheaval of the time as well as mental health issues being exacerbated by quarantine. And the band adds: “The album also addresses the people who feel the need to try and uphold the illusion, and the psychic maelstrom of living in the true chaotic reality beneath the mask.”

“Everything Is Normal” is the first album to feature Elliott’s guitar-playing and songwriting skills. It’s also the band’s first album working with the post-punk and metal producer/musician, Pat Hills, of Sacramento’s EarthTone Studios. Through Pat, the duo came into contact with the Bay Area’s independent label, Transylvanian Recordings.

“Everything Is Normal” is available on all major digital platforms including Bandcamp and Spotify. A limited-edition cassette is also available via Transylvanian Recordings.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
