About ImJudas
ImJudas is the solo project of Italian artist Maxx Maryan, known as the male half of the electro-metal duo Helalyn Flowers. Established in 2016, ImJudas began as a noir-dyed electro-pop endeavor and has since evolved to incorporate rough guitar elements, reflecting Maryan’s diverse musical roots in electronic dark wave and primordial rock.
In April 2022, ImJudas released the debut album “Yrjudas,” showcasing a blend of electronic dark wave and rock influences. The album features tracks like “Outcast,” “Ritual,” and “So Untrue,” highlighting the project’s signature fusion of synthetic lines with sharp guitar riffs and emotive vocals.
Following “Yrjudas,” ImJudas continued to explore and expand its sound with several EPs and singles, including “So Untrue EP” in January 2023, “People Of The Blame EP” in January 2023, “I Love You” in September 2023, and “Stjudas EP” in December 2023. These releases further delve into the melancholic 80s pop-wave and post-punk territories.
In May 2024, ImJudas unveiled the album “Viscerheart,” an exploration of love, suffering, obsession, and self-discovery. This release pushes sonic boundaries by venturing into EDM/Dance-Pop and sonic abstraction.
The project draws inspiration from the aesthetics of the New Wave movement and artists like David Bowie, Gary Numan, and Depeche Mode, resulting in a unique sound that should please with fans of dark pop, post-punk, and cold wave genres.

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast.
