Nottingham three piece Hurtsfall have an upcoming single, “Tilting”, which is the first they’ve done in two years. It’s out July 21st via Sonic Disruptor. “Tilting” is band’s first new material in two years.

Of the new single vocalist Sam says: “We’re so proud of Tilting. We’ve all agreed this might well be our best song yet. The writing is tight and it’s so catchy. It really speaks to where we are as a band and feels very relatable and topical for this moment in time. We’ve all put a lot into this. When we’ve played it live people have come up and asked about the ‘new song’ so we knew we were on to something special.”

You can presave the single right here. A video is on its way as well.

Hurtsfall rose from the ashes of the alt-rock band The Death Notes in 2017 when Jamie and Mike started the new project. Sam soon joined. Together they blend gothic rock, post-punk, and synth/pop.

You can see the band at work at the following dates.

  • 15th July Goth City Festival (Boom) Leeds
  • 16th September The Victoria Coalville
  • 29th September HRH Goth (O2 Academy) Sheffield
  • 30th September Underworld (Via Fossa) Nottingham

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
