Glass Apple Bonzai back with 5th album: ‘Brother Bones’ – Out now
Distortion Productions has announced the new album from the synth post-punk band Glass Apple Bonzai, “Brother Bones”. “Brother Bones” is the Niagara Falls, Ontario based project’s fifth full-length and the first one for Distortion.
The project was originally started as a tradition 80’s synthpop throwback, but gradually turned into a mix of synth pop, darkwave, gothic rock, post-punk and even power pop. Their previous album was 2016’s “Perpetuum Nocturna Diaboli”.
Frontman Daniel Belasco: “’Brother Bones’ is, quite honestly, the most personal album Glass Apple Bonzai has ever released. Acting not only as a vehicle for a noted change in direction musically but serving as a work of catharsis while dealing with the passing of my oldest brother in 2021, to whom the album is dedicated. I am proud of all that Brother Bones is and happy to share it with existing fans and new listeners around the world.”
‘Brother Bones’ is available today from Distortion Productions on CD and through all digital and streaming platforms. You can check out the release on Bandcamp.
Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
