The Berlin boys Wagner and Falgalas (both ex-Dance Or Die) returned earlier this year on Alfa Matrix with their Darkness On Demand project to release the singles “Hang On” and “Female Grace” followed by the exclusive EP “Final Way”.

The band and label have now announced that we can expect the 3rd Darkness On Demand album in September 2023, titled “Digital Outcast” with pre-orders being taken now.

Conceptually the album “calls for freedom of art and expression,” so the band says, “heavily criticising autocratic regimes, mass-media manipulations, freedom restrictions and all other excesses of our society reminding us how prophetic dystopian social science fiction novels like “Brave New World” or “1984” were…”

Wagner adds: “Our new album “Digital Outcast” is an invitation to reconnect with nature and reality, to escape from that digital world dominated by artificial social medias and credit card consumption. Our world has so much more to offer!”

On this album you can expect a mix between classic dark electro and modern EBM. The release will be out on CD (available now via the Alfa Matrix webstore in pre-order), but also as high quality download via Bandcamp and on all other platforms. You can already download 2 tracks when you pre-order the release via Bandcamp. The Alfa Matrix label is also offering this CD in a handy combi pack with the newest Alien Vampires 2CD album “Return Me To Hell” at a lower price.

Below you can listen to the first tracks from the new album.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
