Funker Vogt to release new album ‘Final Construct’ in 4 formats
Out via Repo Records on May 3rd is the new Funker Vogt album “Final Construct”. The current line-up of the band consists of Gerrit Thomas, René Dornbusch and singer Bastian Polak. The trio spent a year working on the new album and its pre-release singles “Death Seed”, “Blessed or Cursed” and “The Signaller (Club Mix)”.
“Final Construct” will be released in three versions: a 2CD digipak (including 15 songs and four in-house remixes), a colored gold vinyl and an audio cassette – both with one exclusive song each. Additionally you can also get the album via download and streaming platforms.
The 2CD set comes as a limited first edition in a 6-panel digipak.
Lyricswise the album songs handlethe constant changes in our society. Lyrics writer Bastian Polak comments: “You just can’t keep quiet when you look at all the misery in the world and you might think we’re glorifying war, but the exact opposite is the case. We hold up a mirror to you and tell you about suffering and death, but also about solidarity and courage. Each of us knows the way that would solve all these problems in one fell swoop: Peace and cohesion. Unfortunately, the human species is not yet ready for this. Together we can make a difference, because tolerance and empathy show us the right way. When will we finally learn from our mistakes? When will the change finally come?”

Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
