Anticipating the forthcoming release of their 4th studio album, Darkness On Demand now reveals the new album’s title track “Panic In Reserve” and released it as a free (pay as you wish) single on Bandcamp. This digital single also includes the exclusive 7 min long extended mix of this new song. The release also gets accompanied by an official video clip.

As former members of the iconic ’80s act Dance Or Die, the Berlin band continues to work under the Darkness On Demand banner. Since 2017, they’ve been fusing moody, melodic electronics with aggressive EBM industrial beats.

You can download this free 2-track single exclusively from Bandcamp, and for free. The upcoming album can already be pre-ordered from the Alfa Matrix webstore on CD or via Bandcamp.

About Darkness On Demand

Darkness On Demand (DoD) is a German dark electro and industrial project formed in 2017 by three members of the iconic band Dance or Die – Gary Wagner, Falgalas (Heiko Duus), and Chris L. Although Chris L. left in 2018 and was replaced by Seba, the band retained its commitment to blending old-school electro with contemporary dark electronic sounds.

DoD’s music merges elements of EBM, industrial, and futuristic themes, often reflecting dystopian and apocalyptic visions. Their lyrics are highly engaged, focusing on societal critiques, digitalization, and the relationship between humans and technology, as seen in albums like “Post Stone Age Technology” and “Digital Outcast”. Their sound has evolved from their earlier works, with a strong emphasis on catchy, danceable grooves designed for dark dancefloors.

The band has continued to explore complex themes in their music, from the psychological impact of urban life to broader societal issues, delivering a unique blend of retro and future-oriented electro soundscapes.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
