Chris Pohl’s project Blutengel has just released a new single and video, “Angst”. The single comes backed by two other tracks, “She Wears Black” and “Der Sturm”.

Chris Pohl says this about the song: “This song is about the constant feeling of fear that many people carry within them. Since I’m one of them, I came up with this title. I deliberately mix English and German vocals, as I did on songs like “Nachtbringer”. As it is a personal song, the chorus had to be sung in German with the clear statement: “Ich habe Angst” (“I Am Scared”). The video was shot in a film-like look and shows an oppressive atmosphere in a hotel where the “boss” is a strange, frightening figure.”

“Angst” is the last single before the upcoming new album “Dämonen:Sturm” is released February 28th, 2025.

Here’s the video.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
