Aircrash Bureau – Zerstörer Der Welt (CD EP – Infacted Recordings)
Genre/Influences: EBM.
Content: After the noticeable comeback on the “Pack Leader”-album we get this strictly limited EP of 333 copies from Aircrash Bureau. “Zerstörer Der Welt” is a song taken from the album and in my opinion, a rather surprising choice as there are more convincing songs on “Pack Leader”.
Next to the original version, featuring the typical German EBM-style built up with cool sounds we also get remixes by Skyla Vertex, Detroit Diesel and Brigade Werther. Skyla Vertex made a hard and punching remix. I was especially pleased by the remix by Brigade Werther because this is another band from the late 80s – early 90s that struck back after a long period of silence. Globally speaking the remixes are honest, but not really adding a plus to the original version –maybe except the one by Skyla Vertex.
Among the other songs there’s a previously unreleased cut plus a remix of the album song “Kalt” and a demo version of “Seventy Nine”. Speaking for myself, I would have chosen other songs of the album, but I have to admit that the “Zdw Mix” of “Kalt” is a pretty cool piece that will possibly appeal to DAF-fans. This is a great piece of EBM.
Conclusion: If you like Aircrash Bureau you for sure will buy one of the 333 copies of the CD. This is food for fans!
Best songs: “Zerstörer Der Welt”, “Zerstörer Der Welt – Skyla Vertex Remix”, “Kalt – Zdw Mix”.
