Coil vs ELpH album ‘Born Again Pagans’ finally gets 30th anniversary extended edition

Out via Infinite Fog on January 10th 2025 is the 30th anniversary extended edition of the Coil vs ELpH album “Born Again Pagans“. The release will be available as a 2CD digipak and as a 3LP black vinyl, the latter including a replica of the original St. Sebastian on acid poster.

The double CD edition comes as a three-fold Digipak and holds the same 21 tracks as on the triple-vinyl.

In the mid 1990s the core team of John Balance and Peter Christopherson were continuing their exploration of the outer reaches of electronic sound production resulting in “Born Again Pagans”. Originally released as an EP only, it featured both “Protection” and the more ambient/glitch-based ElpH material.

This new anthology re-edition collects all of the ElpH material which didn’t appear on their later “Worship the Glitch” album, namely the “pHILM #1″ 10”, a host of very rare compilation tracks as well as a number of at the time unreleased pieces in the same vein. This new release also features the ElpH entity’s last ever appearance, originally available on the “Zwölf” EP. All of the material has been remastered by Jessica Thompson with re-imagined design-work by Oleg Galay.
