Im Namen Des Volkes – Loch Im System (Digital/Vinyl EP – Ant-Zen)
Matthias Schuster, widely recognized for his involvement in projects like Bal Paré, Das Institut, Akustikkoppler, ao, also serves as the creative force behind Im Namen Des Volkes. While I sometimes lose track of whether something is a single or an EP, this release stands out with four concise tracks fueled by pure, vintage analogue sound treatments. From the very first note, it evokes an authentic 80s flashback, igniting a deep appreciation for minimalist Electro compositions. The songs feature a touch of German vocals, adding an atmospheric layer to the experience. A particular highlight is the closing track, “Ich War Da, Leergebrannt,” a brilliant remix of a piece originally featured on the debut album from 2007. This release is a true treat for fans of classic analogue Electro, combining nostalgia with undeniable creative flair. (Rating:8).

Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
