About Haujobb

is a German electronic music project formed in 1993 by and . Initially influenced by the industrial sounds of the early ’90s, Haujobb became known for their fusion of electro-industrial and EBM () with more experimental electronic genres like IDM, ambient, and techno.

The band’s debut album, “Homes & Gardens”, was released in 1993, showcasing their industrial roots. However, their sound began to evolve rapidly, and by their second album, “Freeze Frame Reality” (1995), Haujobb embraced a more complex and layered approach to electronic music, moving away from traditional industrial structures.

Their breakthrough album, “Solutions for a Small Planet” (1996), marked a significant departure from the harshness of industrial music, incorporating elements of drum and bass, techno, and glitch. This release established Haujobb as one of the most innovative acts in the electro-industrial scene.

Over the years, Haujobb has continued to explore different sonic territories, with albums like “Polarity” (2001), “Vertical Theory” (2003), and “New World March” (2011). Their work has been characterized by its willingness to push boundaries, blending different subgenres of electronic music, while maintaining a dark, futuristic aesthetic.

Daniel Myer, in particular, has been active in various other projects, including Architect, Destroid, and , further solidifying his role in the electronic music community.
