Assassun – Post-Climax (Album-Digital/CD/Cassette – Blackjack Illuminist Records)
Alexander Donat is best known for his Cold-Wave project Vlimmer, but now returns with Assassun’s third album. “Post-Climax” is a continuation of the Minimal-Electro sound he developed. It sounds more retro than ever before and the 80s are clearly a major influence. The songs are embroiled in a dark atmosphere that creates a desperate sensation. Alexander Donat continues to sing in English for this project and proves once again to be a very talented singer. This is not my favorite Assassin album, but it remains an interesting discovery.
