Three years after their self-titled EP, the Swiss dark electro / post-punk duo A Sinister Light return with a debut album, “Discerning Spirits“, on CD, vinyl and as download / streaming.
The debut album was announced by two singles and videos. Lyrically “Discerning Spirits”, composed of 9 tracks, talks about societal norms and “invites introspection into the complexities of existence” so the band adds. Recently, in March, the duo secured a deal with the German label Cold Transmission Music.
Based in Switzerland, long-term collaborators Fabrice Noir, the brain behind Cabaret Bizarre – the European dark cabaret show and club night, and DJ Blake joined forces in 2020 to create A Sinister Light. The band blends darkwave, industrial, post-punk, and techno influences into an own sound.
