Background/Info: Texan (USA) native Eric Kristoffer strikes back with his newest album on which he’s ‘exploring the depths of emotion through sonic alchemy’. Unitcode:Machine previously self-released most of its work while the album “Tyranny” was released in 2019 by SkyQode.
Content: You easily will recognize the Electro/Future-Pop basis connected to “Tyranny”. The main difference and evolution in sound is the harder and darker Industrial touch which has been injected. Menacing bass lines and rough, catchy, choruses plus a few guitar sounds create a powerful production in Electro-Pop. The last tracks of the album are featuring noticeable leads.
+ + + : Unitcode:Machine has reached a point the sound can be no longer compared to other bands. It’s an Industrial-Pop approach which fully convinced me by tracks like “Surface”, “Keep Above The Water”, “Nothing Left” and “Emptiness”. The songs are well-crafted and roughly produced featuring passionate vocals on top.
– – – : The song “Love Like Lies” sounds rageful but unfortunately missing real passion; that’s the single cut which couldn’t convince me.
Conclusion: Unitcode:Machine strikes back with a bang; alluring, violent, evil, Electro-Pop music!
Best songs: “Emptiness”, “Surface”, “Nothing Left”, “Keep Above The Water”, “Blind”.
