Lady Gaga Breaks Free on Stupid Love!
Lady Gaga’s fantastic new single, Stupid Love, summons a concept that she’s sung about hundreds of times before. A Stupid Love could be a Bad Romance that’s no longer diseased and vengeful. It was here when she said Alejandro to her beloved. And when she made fans realise it was just a Perfect Illusion. But with Gaga, it can either be a Love Game or a Million Reasons for it to be Shallow!
Stupid Love was released on the 27th of February and acts as the main single of her upcoming album set to drop later this year. The song is so typical Gaga! Slock productions and powerhouse vocals, an epic music video going the extra mile and sledgehammer beats, it had every ingredient to a great Gaga melody.
The video is like a tribute to B-movies with Gaga in a pink Barbarella gear, called Chromatica (maybe the name of her next album), playing the peacemaker during a dance battle. You would notice that each warrior faction has a colour and a fashion theme. The video suggests that Stupid Love is the kind that can heal the world’s fractures. Obviously… pop makes these kinds of promises all the time. But when you’re dancing, you don’t think whether the statement is true or not.
She was like an alien goddess in punk style, something like a power ranger who ended up in an alien civilisation. In typical Gaga fashion, the song’s release was a hit as she is, even if the music video was leaked earlier this year!
