Crystal Geometry – The Cyber Heresy (Vinyl 12” – Sonic Groove)

Background/Info: French project Crystal Geometry is back on Sonic Groove. I last year discovered the EP “Red Faith Militia” released by the label of Adam X. A few more productions saw the light of day, and we now get a new 12” featuring four new tracks.
Content: “The Cyber Heresy” takes off with a hard techno kick mixed with minimal EBM and some vocal lines. The tracks are dark and sometimes accomplished with industrial sound treatments. All the songs are punchy and made for clubs.
+ + + : This work is characterized by danceable, but minimal (modular) sound treatments. This is a perfect fusion between dark-techno, EBM and industrial sound treatments. It’s an obscure techno format with powerful songs. The few vocals make it pretty accessible while injecting a mysterious touch. I also like this maxi because you get 4 different tracks; no remixes here!
– – – : I personally preferred the first 12” released on Sonic Groove, but this one is still worthy of examination.
Conclusion: Crystal Geometry simply confirms its impressive potential while it’s the perfect production to get released on Sonic Groove.
