5F-X – Robby Road (Album – Digital/CD – Hands)
What began as a duo project (5F_55) and evolved into Mike Brun’s solo endeavor (5F-X) saw considerable success in the Industrial scene during the early 2000s. Now, fourteen years after the last release, 5F-X has re-emerged with an impressive album that could easily be considered its opus magnum. While rooted in Industrial, the sound is infused with Acid elements and a touch of Techno, creating a thrilling combination. The mesmerizing loops often lead to a transcendent experience that’s impossible to resist. While Mike Brun may not be reinventing the Industrial genre, he’s delivering a richer, more sophisticated sound. This album is bold and adventurous, and I admire artists who embrace challenges. “Robby Road” could very well be the Industrial release of 2024! (Rate:9).

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
